How our service works

Before undertaking any work, we fully assess the glasses. If we feel it's in your interest to provide a different quote to your chosen service, we will contact you before proceeding.

Sending to us

If you’re happy to go ahead, print the repair request form & send it to us with your broken glasses. We recommend using a trackable service and insuring your glasses if they are of significant value.

Payment

We will normally complete the repair within 2-3 working days from receipt of your glasses.

When complete, we will send you notification by e-invoice. The link takes you to PayPal secure payments terminal. You do not need a PayPal account to complete the payment by credit/debit card. We can also accept payment via phone if preferred.

We’ll securely package & send your glasses to your preferred delivery address.

Kindly note, payments received after 1.30pm will in most instances be processed for packing on the following working day.

Aftercare

Our repairs are covered by a 6 month defect warranty.

Can my glasses be repaired?

In most cases yes. We repair most spectacle materials and offer alternatives if this is not possible

My plastic glasses look dull and faded?

Your glasses may be affected by detergents or hand sanitiser. This often gives them a chalk-like appearance. We can polish the material and restore the shine.

Why should I choose the restoration option?

Our gold repair service includes our market leading restoration process. We fully polish acetate plastic frames and ultrasonic clean all components of metal frames.

Are my glasses worth repairing?

Buying new glasses can be costly and take too much time. Our service is fast, efficient and more sustainable than replacing them

Can Spec-Care replace non-prescription sunglass lenses

Yes we can. From mirror finished to light reactive lenses, we are here to help. This service is frequently combined with our GOLD tier reconditioning service for premium sunglasses.

Do Spec-Care replace prescription lenses?

We do not provide an online service for prescription lens replacement. Spec-Care recommend you have lenses replaced by a trusted optical professional
